Our Worship Services at St Peter’s church

We would love to have you worship with us and all are welcome here. Here are our regular monthly services. We are pleased to be able to offer different styles of worship and we hope you will find a service which helps you to meet with God. Please see our monthly newssheet, available on this website, or check the church notice board for any seasonal changes and for all activities in the life of our church.

SUNDAY WORSHIP

9AM Holy Communion: Every 2nd Sunday of the month.

This said service of Holy Communion (Common Worship) offers a time of stillness and reflection and is held in the Lady Chapel.  

        10.30AM Sunday Worship every week

We meet every Sunday at 10.30am. The services follow this worship pattern each month:

1st and 3rd Sunday of the month: Holy Communion (Common Worship)

2nd Sunday of the month: Church-Family Worship

In this service we are joined by Gateway so that we can worship as one church family.

The worship and music is accessible to all ages and the service has an informal style.

4th Sunday of the month: Morning Worship

5th Sunday of the month (where they fall): Morning Worship

These service may change periodically with the Church Calendar for special celebrations and festivals.

We welcome families to any of our services and are pleased for you to use our children’s resource area. All our service are accompanied by our choir with congregational singing. Refreshments are served after every service. We have a Fairtrade stall after every Church-Family Worship. Gluten Free Wafers are available for Holy Communion should they be required. Please inform a Warden or Sidesperson prior to the Service.

Every week during term time our junior church (3 years +) Gateway meets at Salesbury School.

       6.30PM Evening Worship

Every 1st Sunday of the month: Evening Prayer

A said service of evening prayer which makes use of various worship styles throughout the year including: Common Worship Evening Prayer; Celtic prayer; Evening Praise; BCP Evening Prayer. Most services include singing and reflective music.

Every 3rd Sunday of the month: Choral Evensong

A service of sung Evening Prayer which has a meditative and reflective quality, giving space to pause at the end of the day and before the coming week. Our choir lead the service in song and there are Bible readings and time for prayer.

WEEK DAY WORSHIP

WEDNESDAY 10.30AM Holy Communion (Common Worship)

THURSDAY 9.15AM Morning Prayer

During this service we take time to pray for our community. If you have any specific prayer requests, please join us or make a request using the prayer slips inside (on the prayer table by the pulpit).
