St. Peter’s Choir, SalesburyDirector of Music Rupert Keeling
St. Peter’s Choir is a lively group with a strong musical tradition, fine reputation and active social life. The Choir sings at the regular Holy Communion services on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. In addition, the Choir regularly sings Choral Evensong. We sing music dating from medieval to modern times, secular as well as sacred. In recent years, we have sung a major choral work for Holy Week on Good Friday. We have sung Choral Evensong at Blackburn Cathedral, and, in September, we will be going to sing the Sunday services at Bangor Cathedral in North Wales. We warmly welcome singers from the Ribble Valley and beyond to join us for special choral services and events.
Choir Practices are on Thursdays at 7.00pm and Sundays at 9.50 am. Services are usually at 10.30am and 6.30pm on Sundays. To discover more: Contact Rupert, our Director of Music (07514 983562)
St. Peter’s WORSHIP GROUPSt Peter’s Worship Group accompanies the monthly informal Church Family Worship (CFW) services. We play and sing a variety of worship songs from different styles and traditions. There are about three special evening Praise Services during the year to mark and celebrate some of the key festivals in the church calendar. We warmly welcome new singers and instrumentalists to join us! CFW Services are at 10.30am on the second Sunday of every month. Worship Group Practices are on CFW Sundays at 9.50 am.
